Dear Colleagues,

I welcome the participants, guests and organizers of the II International Forum “Russian Maritime Industry” on behalf of the Federation Council Commission on National Maritime Policy.
The study of results of the I International Forum “Russian Maritime Industry” conducted in May 2010 has proved its relevance and high importance for businesses in all maritime areas in the Russian Federation.
I am confident that the II International Forum “Russian Maritime Industry” will attract even greater attention and professional interest from the federal government and state authorities of the Russian Federation, the leading Russian and foreign enterprises and organizations – manufacturers of marine equipment and civil vessels.
The problems impeding the dynamic development of domestic shipbuilding and repair facilities will be discussed at the forum by the heads of leading Russian and foreign enterprises in the industry, manufacturers of marine equipment. These discussions will be the basis for the elaboration of decisions aimed at further improvement of the shipbuilding industry for the benefit of the Russian fleet.
