The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is a federal executive body with policy-making and regulatory functions in the civil and defense industries as well as in aviation technology development, technical regulation and metrology, and with functions of the authorized federal executive body carrying out state regulation of foreign trade activities.

In accordance with the instructions of I. Sechin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, № ИС-П4-5812 dated 05/10/2009 and the Minister № МП-39880 dated of 13/01/2009, the head of the Department of the Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Equipment adopted a decision on participation in the Business Programme of the International Marine Forum “Marine Industry of Russia” (MIR Forum) to be held in May, 2010.
