The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation (shortly, Mintrans of Russia) is a federal ministry carrying out activities on elaboration of government policy and regulation in the sphere of air (civil aviation), sea, inland water, railway, automobile and urban electric (metropolitan railway included), industrial transport, road facilities, geodesic and cartographic activity, as well as giving names to geographic objects.
