Rosatom State Corporation
The State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” (short name Rosatom) performs management of all nuclear assets of the Russian Federation including civil and weapons. In addition to commercial activities, the Corporation ensures move forward of the atomic energetics and nuclear fuel cycle plants as well as performs functions imposed by the state, in the first instance provision of national security protection (nuclear deterrence), nuclear and radiation safety as well as abstract and applied science. Besides, on behalf of the Russian Federation, the State Corporation is authorized to fulfill international commitments undertaken by our country in the area of peaceful application of atomic energy and non-proliferation regime.
