Shipbuilding equipment and materials are generally not highly specialized. The same facilities and tools are used in railway coach or car manufacturing and in other operations with metal works. This can explain the great variety of domestic equipment on the market. There is also foreign equipment here.
Facilities used in the shipbuilding industry can be divided as follows: measurement systems, shop transport systems, cutting and welding equipment, paint spraying and drying units, and surface working machinery. The last class includes rotoblast (tread finishing) units and grinding equipment.
