Comark Corporation expanded its portfolio of display products by announcing the Comark Pilothouse Computer. The Pilothouse Computer is an integration of the Comark Pilothouse Display with a powerful general-purpose computer. It is designed for marine environments where space is limited. Enclosed in an aluminum chassis, the system includes a heavy-duty base that can be hard mounted to the wheelhouse console or hung from the ceiling, if required. International Maritime Organization (IMO) Approved OptiMarine Ballast System

November 25, 2009

On behalf of Norwegian Maritime Administration, Det Norske Veritas issued the Type Approval Certificate for the ballast system from OptiMarin AS. This certificate confirms the system’s compliance with the requirements of the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ship’s Ballast Water and Sediments adopted by the International Maritime Organization in 2004.
