Admiralteyskiye verfi, OJSC, an affiliate of the West Center of Shipbuilding of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, manufactured Bester deep-operating vehicle as per the design of Lasurit Design Bureau based in Nizhniy Novgorod. Bester, intended for saving seamen from disabled submarines, will be included into the facilities of Igor Belousov ocean-going ship, which is to take over the watch in 2011.
Besides, in 2009, at Admiralteyskiye verfi there was launched Consul – manned vehicle designed in Malakhit Sea Bureau of Engineering of Saint-Petersburg. By means of manipulator facility, the vehicle can bring equipment with the mass of up to 200 kilograms to sea ground as well as lift it, and perform undersea engineering works. The crew of 2 or 3 seamen will operate Consul.
