Electronic Mapping System for the Yenisei Basin

Transas Navigator Company achieved an agreement with Yeniseyskoye Morskoye Parokhodstvo, OJSC, on equipping the fleet with up-to-date electronic mapping systems by Transas.
In 2010, the management of Yeniseyskoye Morskoye Parokhodstvo intends to purchase СОЭНКИ/ЭКНИС 4000 (SOENKI/EKSNIS 4000) system for 428 and N-3290 project pushers.
The maps are based on the existing official information and comply with requirements of national and international navigation-hydrographic information coding standards. Production of stated maps reignites development of this routing in the Yenisei Basin.
Mandatory equipping of all Russian vessels with GLONASS/GPS positioning systems in accordance with the Regulation of the Government of the Russian Federation #641 dated 25/08/2008 significantly accelerates this process. Vessel position coordinates got via GLONASS/GPS receiver ensure monitoring of vessel movement and its navigation circumstances on the electronic map. And this provides operational real-time solution of the multitude of navigation tasks and reduces the emergency risks.
Thanks to summoning all information in SOENKI/EKSNIS 4000 on a single display, the navigator can assess the situation and make decision as soon as possible. Many features ensure navigation safety, significant reducing of sea days and operational costs. Hardware-software solution ensures connection of any navigational detectors with the possibility of switching necessary marine or river navigation modes.
