Admiralteyskie Verfi (Saint-Petersburg) Delivered to a Customer a Diesel-Electric Kilo Class Submarine

OAO Admiralteyskie Verfi (Saint-Petersburg) delivered to a foreign customer a diesel-electric Kilo class submarine (DES), project 636. The ship handover certificate was signed the previous day, communicated to IAA PortNews at the enterprise.
At Admiralteyskiye Verfi, such submarines are constructed batchwise. The updated project 636 submarine currently offered to prospect customers is equipped with missile-torpedo batteries capable of engaging sea and surface targets. The enterprise is arranging for construction of a series of submarines to be exported. Besides, the matter of market launch for new generation Amur-class submarines designed by the marine equipment CDB Rubin is under consideration.
