On April 6, the Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant (the Leningrad Region) to Launch a 850 DWT Bunker-Tanker

On April 6, 2010, OOO Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant (Schlusselburg, the Leningrad Region) is to launch a coastal bunker-tanker Bergen Tank, project SK4902/10021. This is reported in the enterprise statement.

Earlier it was reported that SK4902/10021 project was designed by Skipskonsulent AS Design Bureau (Bergen, Norway). The overall length is 47.85 m, beam – 10 m, hull height 4 m, and draught 2.85 m. SK4902/10021 DWT amounts to 850 tons. Cargo tanks volume is 750 cub. m. The vessel is to transport to and supply vessels light and heavy petroleum products with flash point over 60°C.

As the previous vessel (OSLO-TANK), the bunker-tanker Bergen Tank is constructed for the company Haugland Tankers AS (Norway, affiliate of Bergen Tankers AS). OSLO-TANK was delivered to the customer in November, 2009.

OOO Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant is 40 km away from Saint-Petersburg in the city of Schlusselburg on the left bank of the Neva River. It is one of the oldest water transport enterprises of the North-Western part of Russia. At the plant, ships have been constructed since 1952. Here are constructed sea- and river-going ships of various purpose and type and all kinds of repair are carried out. The ship-lifting slip of Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant allows to launch and lift vessels of up to 140 m length and dock weight up to 2,500 tons.
