Baltic Transport Forum

On September 2, the Baltic Transport Forum opened in Kaliningrad. Among the participants of the forum, there are representatives of largest transport companies, heads of state offices of Russia, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan.
The list of subjects under discussion regarding transport development in the Baltic region, cooperation and competition of sea-ports of the North-West comprises implementation of the project for construction of the modern deep-water port near cape Severny on the Kaliningrad shore of the Baltic Sea.
Start-up of this port will considerably affect competitive ability of Kaliningrad Region on the Baltic Sea, – said Vladimir Grents, acting Minister of Development of Infrastructure in Kaliningrad Region.
