China Will Invest Billions into Greek Transport

The Financial Times reports that in the course of the formal visit of the China delegation to Athena, heads of two countries will discuss projects related to shipping and development of Greek airports.
First of all, it is referring development of the Piraeus port which main terminal is under the control of Chinese state shipping company Cosco. Under the agreement signed in 2009, China rented 2 terminals for 35 years. The sum of transaction amounted to EUR 3.4 bln.
Within the framework of the meeting, several shipbuilding-related agreements amounting EUR 500 mln are to be signed.
