The shipbuilding company Drydocks World Southeast Asia Pte Ltd (DDW-SEA) announces laying of the world’s largest self-elevating crane ship designated for construction of offshore wind-powered generating installations.
The ship under construction index GustoMSC NG-9000C-HPE features 800 ton GustoMSC crane, hydraulic jacking system for work platform elevating over water surface. The hull is to be double-bottom. The vessel features 6,500 ton displacement tonnage. The crane is to be fitted aft between jack-up legs.
The delivery is scheduled for Q1 2012.
