Gazprom to Decide on Project for Construction of LNG-Carrier for the Stockman Deposit in the II Quarter

Gazprom is to decide on project for construction of LNG-carriers for the Stockman Deposit in the second quarter of the year, was announced on Thursday by General Director of OOO “Gazflot” Yuri Shamalov.
“In the second quarter of 2010, we are to define the specific appearance of future LNG-carriers the construction of those is to be performed in Russia,” said Shamalov within the framework of the panel discussion of the International Saint-Petersburg Forum of Fuel and Energy Sector.
According to him, the “Gazflot” programme for vessel construction till 2020 comprises 88 vessels of various designation.
For example, he stated that in 2009 a contract with the Far East Center of Shipbuilding was made for construction of two supply ships. Besides, in the current year a tender will be announced for construction of two support vessels.
