Head of United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) Roman Trotsenko has reported to Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on paying salary to all the staff of the state corporation. “Now we can report that each of 80 thousand employees of the corporation received their salary. We also have no tax debts,” answered he Putin’s question “how was the problem regarding late payment of wages solved, and if not, then why”.
“In 2009, United Shipbuilding Corporation made profit of RUR 92 mln., – continued Trotsenko. – That is not too much as compared to our turn-round of RUR 150 bln. and at the same time it is much better as compared to our losses of RUR 9 bln. sustained in 2008. This is our first year when we made profit.”
“We may say that the first anti-crisis and most complicated stage is over and we are in a not-simple but stable situation now which enables our development,” said the head of OSK. He confirmed to Prime-Minister that “currently, according to our estimates the workload is about 52%, which is not too much.”
Trotsenko mentioned that OSK intends to “increase civil-oriented workload, in civil branches.” “We can observe the process of customer returning to the civil shipbuilding. Generally orders relate to river-and-sea-going ships, small ships of 6-7 tons,” said he. “Another direction consists in strengthening of interaction regarding state defense order deliveries. We are approaching to implementation of a number of new projects,” said Trotsenko.
