JSC ”Sea Port St. Petersburg” updated equipment

As part of the modernization of the ”Sea Port St. Petersburg” (JSC ”St. Petersburg MP”), on the piers of the company are delivered two self-propelled crane on pneumatic run Liebherr LHM 600 models capable of transshipping bulk and heavy cargoes of total weight up to 140 tons.
The new cranes will be brought into operation after all necessary procedures, including adjustment of equipment and documentation.
Staff, who will operate and maintain this equipment is currently in the process of training. Commissioning of new production equipment will allow the company to increase the intensity of the treatment of oversized cargo and general cargo, including iron cargo and fertilizers, as well as to attract heavy goods traffic (up to 60 tons) of slab.
For the information:
Carrying capacity of Liebherr mobile harbor crane is 140 tons. Cranes can move at speed of up to 5 km / hour.
JSC ”Sea Port St. Petersburg” (part of UCL Port – subholding combining stevedoring assets of the international transport of UCL Holding) – the largest operator, providing services for handling all types of dry cargo in the Big Port of St. Petersburg.
