Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair

OOO “Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant” (Shlisselburg, the Leningrad region) has built up the stock of orders for the next 3 years that amounts to 7 billion roubles. This statement came from Vladimir Bazhenov, as the Plant’s Press Service informs.

Vladimir Bazhenov says that Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant has started to work systematically. “So far the Plant has been dealing with single orders available on the market, it has been repairing ships – that doesn’t bring stable profit. That was unsystematic work. The Plant was involved in construction of a barge, floating restaurant, helicopter landing site. These orders are diverse, and each has to be treated as a head order, which leads to high production costs”, he added. “Now we make series. This enables to optimize the Plant’s expenses, increase cost-effectiveness and improve work performance”, – emphasized Mr. Bazhenov. OOO “Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant” is a daughter company of OAO “North-West Shipping Company”, which is part of Universal Cargo Logistics Holding. The Plant is located in the city of Schlisselburg, 40 km away from Saint-Petersburg, on the left bank of the river Neva. It is one of the oldest water transport enterprises in the North-West of Russia. The Plant has been building ships since 1952. Today the Plant builds sea and river boats of various types and applications and offers a full range of ship repair services. The Plant is equipped with a ship lifting slip to handle vessels with the length of up to 140 meters and the dock weight of up to 2 500 tonnes.
