On the base of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency, a new commission of inquiry the background of grave destruction of the protecting hydraulic structures under construction at the entry of Mzymta river of the port of Sochi and loss of facilities.
Viktor Olersky, deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Alexander Davydenko, head of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency, and Igor Rusu, director general of Rosmorport FGUP are on the scene of the accident.
According to initial data, waves up to 10-12 meters high caused destructions while estimated characteristics of hydraulic structures does not exceed 7.5 meters. Currently, detailed engineering study of the damaged constructions is being held followed by the damage scale estimation.
Search for disappearing crew members of Nord dive boat cast ashore during the storm is still in progress.
