Next Trial Step of Yury Dolgoruky Is Over

The next step of the factory trials of the nuclear-powered submarine Yury Dolgoruky confirmed satisfactory running performance of the ship and stable operation of all marine systems.
During the trials the vessel was under the command of V. Shirin, captain I rank; Sevmash trial crew was headed by N. Semakov. Representatives of the projector and contractors also participated the cruise.
Yury Dolgoruky will join the ranks of combat nuclear-powered Navy ships and the lead ship of project 955. These same ships will form the basis of the Russian Naval nuclear forces when submarines of projects 941 and 667 BDR (БДР) and BDRM (БДРМ) will be removed from active service.
The sortie is planned for September.
