In the first six months of 2010, Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (a branch of United Shipbuilding Corporation) will begin construction of two shipyards.
Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair and Singaporean Yantai Raffles Corporate Group entered into the agreement on constructing a shipyard at the dockyard # 30 in closed administrative-territorial formation (ZATO) Fokino. This shipyard will specialize in foundations for oil platforms, drilling equipment and manufacturing machinery. Construction investments will amount USD 100-200 mln.
The LNG carrier shipbuilding yard will be constructed in affiliation with Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) Group on the basis of Zvezda works in ZATO Bolshoi Kamen. The shipyard is intended for building tankers, drilling vessels, floating plants for producing LNG, that is facilities required for Russian shelf development projects. South Korean investors are going to invest in this project about USD 200 mln.
