Prirazlomnaya Platform

Construction of the offshore ice-protected Prirazlomnaya stationary oil production platform in the Barents Sea will soon be completed. The platform is designated for development of the same-named field.
Being a gravity-type oil field facility, the platform provides technical hole drilling, production, crude treatment, storage and delivery of raw hydrocarbons.
The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) takes an active part in Arctic shelf development projects. RS has elaborated and is now applying a complex approach to safety measures at offshore oil-gas fields. This approach involves object classification, quality control at all stages of offshore field infrastructure development, design documents verification, industrial safety evaluation as well as certification of materials and products used in offshore field infrastructure development.
