The product portfolio of Russian shipbuilding companies till 2020 amounts to 2,000 vessels and mechanisms totaling to RUR 1.5 trn. According to RBC, this was reported by the Minister of Transport Igor Levitin. He specified that it is referred only to the portfolio of civil production. It is a reminder that today in Moscow, a session of the Marine Board of the Government of the Russian Federation is held.
Earlier it was reported that in early March, Mintrans of Russia published the draft of the Federal Law On Support Measures to the Russian Shipbuilding and Shipping and Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation”. According to the Deputy Minister of Transportation of Russia Viktor Olersky, the draft is to be introduced for consideration of the Government by end March. Viktor Olersky noticed that the initiative of the Ministry of Transportation is well timed and “there are serious reasons for the deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation to promote and adopt the law”.
