Results of navigation on inland waterways of Russia in 2011

Organizations of inland waterway transport sent to recipients by 20.7% more goods compared with 2010 during navigation period 2011. Total shipments reached 126.6 thousand tons, including domestic traffic – 108.6 thousand tons (+ 23.6%); in foreign traffic – 18.0 million tons (+5.8%).
In the Far North and equivalent areas sent more than 19.4 million tones of socially important goods (+7.7%).
Cargo turnover is increased by 8.4% up to $ 59.6 bln.tons km. More than 14.1 million passengers were shipped.
It was processed more than 184.3 million tons of cargo (+29%), including international traffic – 14.1 million tons (+24.9%), bulk carriers – 171.6 million tons (+30%), oil – 12.6 million tons (+15%).
