Before delivery planned for August, 2010, Kirill Lavrov, Arctic shuttle tanker being built at OAO Admiralteyskie Verfi, will undergo sea trials in the Russian part of the Gulf of Finland. The trials are to take 2 weeks.
Kirill Lavrov together with her sister ship Mikhail Ulyanov of 70,000 dwt are built by order of OAO Sovkomflot. The vessels are designated for transportation of oil and gas condensate from Prirzalomnoye, an Arctic oilfield in the Barents Sea. To purchase the tankers, OAO Sovkomflot obtained a credit at Vnesheconombank. The financing worth USD 200 mln will be provided for a period of 7 years.
