Sevmash PA and Doris Engineering Shelf Development Design Company Are Going to Organize Joint Ventures

Sevmash PA, OJSC, and Doris Engineering Shelf Development Design Company (France) are going to organize a joint ventures. This was announced by the press-service of the Russian company following the results of the working meeting between Nikolay Kalistratov, Sevmash Director General, and Roman Trotsenko, United Shipbuilding Corporation, OJSC, acting as President.

Sevmash and Doris Engineering intend to sign relevant documents on December 17, 2009. Following the results of the meeting, the company was charged to prepare documentation on further development of the plant and turning the O&G area a separate production.

Sevmash Shipbuilding Plant started to work in 1936. On June 1, 2008, Sevmash Production Association was reformed from FGUP into OJSC. The plant specialized in production of defense technologies for the Russian naval forces and foreign customers, marine facilities for O&G exploitation, civil shipbuilding, industrial use machinery for engineering, metallurgical, oil-and-gas and other industries, modernization of nuclear powered submarines and ships, as well as utilization and design of vessels, marine structures, onboard facilities and O&G exploitation facilities.
