SOGAZ Effected RUR 5 Bln Insurance for Construction of the Floating Drilling Unit

SOGAZ Insurance Group effected insurance of a project on construction of self-elevating floating drilling rig implemented by OAO Ship-Repair Center Zvezdochka, one of the Russian leading shipbuilding enterprises – to the order of OOO Gazlfot.
On the terms and conditions of the agreement, SOGAZ is to ensure coverage to SEFDR Arkticheskaya in case of death or physical harm at any construction phase including transportation and sea trials. Besides, SOGAZ will effect third party liability insurance of the organization for the entire period of construction works.
The aggregate limit of the insurer’s liability exceeds RUR 4.9 bln.
SEFDR Arkticheskaya is a non-self-propelled drilling rig with three supports, fore accommodation block, helistop and drilling unit at the pull-out spout arm in the aft.
SEFDR Arkticheskaya will carry out drilling and exploration of oil deposits of the Arctic shelf of the Pechora Sea.
