Within the framework of XXIX annual conference CERA WEEK-2010 held this year in Houston (USA), first deputy General director of Sovkomflot, JSC, Nikolai Kolesnikov presented a joint project, developed with Swedish company Stena Bulk, of B-Max tanker (having deadweight about 200 thousand tons), the operation of which tanker would allow transporting two standard 100-thousand-ton cargos of crude oil; this will increase the commercial efficiency of sea transportation and decrease the intensity of navigation in such a sensitive area as the Baltic sea.
Also, the press-office of the Russian company reported that the information about the joint project of Sovkomflot and Russian oil and gas companies for organizing in 2010 of pilot cargo trips along Northern Sea Route eastwards for delivery of Russian hydrocarbons to the Asian-Pacific destinations was of high interest among the participants of the conference.
