Tranzas Will Deliver Equipment for Offshore Nuclear Power Plant Unit

Tranzas has entered into an agreement with the leading developer of automation systems for the first ever offshore nuclear power plant unit of project 20870 — OAO Concern Avrora — for preparing documentation, equipping, testing and commissioning operations of the external communications system.

The offshore power generating unit Akademik Lomonosov will become the main component of the first ever offshore nuclear heat and power plant (ONHPP) being built by Rosenergoatom Concern. The unit is to be put in commission as part of ONHPP in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Aleksey Kukushkin, Deputy Sales Manager of OOO Tranzas Navigator, said:

“We are proud to participate in implementation of so unique a facility. We are thankful to our partners — NPO Avrora and OAO Baltiysky Zavod — for having selected Tranzas as a partner and supplier. It is not for the first time when we participate in complex and innovative projects, so I am sure our experience will make it possible to meet our commitments in an appropriate manner and complete this so anything but simple and exceptionally challenging order successfully.
