Turkmenistan Offers to Hold Marine Business Forum at the Caspian Sea

On May 7 within the framework of the meeting with Governor of the Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov offered to hold Marine Business Forum in the end of the summer. The Forum is to be dedicated to issues of interaction in trade, economy, transport and communication at the Caspian Sea.
In his turn, the head of the region offered to his Turkmen partners to make use of services of enterprises and organizations of the Astrakhan Region in order to carry out actions regarding integrated research of living marine resources of Turkmenistan.
He also informed on willingness of Astrakhan shipyards to participate in large projects regarding construction of facilities used in development of oil and gas fields on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.
