Vladimir Putin visited OAO ”PO”Sevmash”

Premier, accompanied by Deputy Prime Ministers Igor Sechin and Sergei Ivanov, Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, the Navy Commander Vladimir Vysotsky, the President of “USC” Roman Trotsenko went on deck of the atomic submarine “Alexander Nevsky”, where he congratulated the crew with the completion of the first phase of testing.

Later in the conference room of the plant in the presence of Vladimir Putin were signed the contracts for the state defense order worth over 280 billion rubles.

In addition, Prime Minister held a meeting with relevant deputy prime ministers and representatives of the MIC. “We have carefully analyzed the causes that led to problems when placing defense orders. It is in this logic, it was decided to place government orders not for one but for three years. This will allow companies to plan and organize their work rhythmically. Our ambitious plans to upgrade the army and navy should be performed. This is a major national task – the Premier said. – I wish shipbuilders, including “Sevmashevtsam”, all employees of the Russian defense industry success in this difficult, important job. “
