The volume of cargo handling in seaports of Russia for January – December 2011 amounted to 535.3 million tons, up 1.8% more than in January-December 2010. Of the total volume dry cargo handling amounted to 234.4 million tons, up 10.8% more than in January-December 2010. Liquid cargo handling decreased by 4.3% to 300.9 million tons.
Handling of goods in the Pacific ports during the period amounted to 125.3 million tons, a 6.7% increase in 2011, of which the liquid bulk cargoes were 54.4 million tons (an increase – 1.6%), bulk carriers – 70.9 million tons (growth – 10,9%).
Handling of goods in the ports of the Caspian basin has declined in January-December 2011 by 3.1% to 10.5 million tons, transshipment of dry cargo decreased by 12.9% to 5.6 million tons; liquid bulk cargo – has grown up to 11% to 4.9 million tons.
Handling of goods in the ports of Black Sea basin was 172.8 million tons, 2.1% more than in 2010. Volumes of dry cargo increased by 9.9% to 63.6 million tones, liquid bulk cargo – fell by 2, 0% to 109.2 million tons.
Handling of goods in the Baltic Sea ports increased by 4.8% to 185.6 million tons. Transshipment of dry cargo – 71.9 million tons, 13.7% more than in 2010, handling of liquid cargo decreased by 0.2% to 113.7 million tons.
Handling of goods in the ports of the Arctic basin was 40.9 million tons, up 19.8% more than in 2010. Transshipment of dry cargo grew by 10.9% to 22.3 million tons; liquid bulk cargo – has dropped to 18.6 million tons (60.2% in 2010).
