Yenisei River Shipping Company Continues Fleet Renewal

On August 6 at Krasnoyarsk Shipyard a new non-propelled craft — platform-barge BP-2018 (БП-2018) was launched. The craft was built by order of OAO Yenisei River Shipping Company. It is the second vessel launched at the shipyard this year. Two months earlier a new ferry was launched by order of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
“Today the shipping company as a customer and the shipyard as a contractor are the only Russian enterprises which build new vessels from year to year in accordance with the long-term program for fleet renewal. And all this despite close economic conditions,” Aleksander Ivanov, General Director at Yenisei River Shipping Company, said.
Project 82260 barges – a new craft being one of them – are designated for transportation of ground storage cargoes: timber, coal, inorganic construction materials, automobiles, equipment and containers. The construction of such a barge requires more than 60 employees and about RUR 35 mln.
